Limited to the Big Island of Hawaii atop Mauna Kea. In the winter, snow can be seen covering its summit and you can even ski or snowboard down its thin-aired slopes. Due to safety and environmental-impact issues and health concerns, the Hawaii Ski Club no longer sponsors group ski trips to the Mauna Kea volcano nor will they endorse or recommend travel agencies which may offer such trips.
